From clouds to light

There is very little value or virtue in holding on to our pain. Often times holding on to our pain results in self-indulgent behavior rather than honest healing.

The true value comes from how we lift ourselves out of our pain, how we rise above the cloud layer of suffering to ultimately be reunited with the bright light of joy and peace.

We start by becoming truly aware of the suffering and pain we are feeling, to acknowledge it first, because simply ignoring it or repressing it will only cause it to appear in other ways as it is demanding to be acknowledged.

We breathe deep, we try to sit with the pain, honoring what needs to be felt, creating space to be able to ask ourselves what is it that this pain is trying to teach us? Our pain and suffering are often moments of growth and learning, as hard as that might be to realize at that moment.

Ultimately there is always a hidden blessing. Whether it’s practicing patience, learning to forgive, being more compassionate or finding strength.

Once we can acknowledge the blessing within the suffering, once we can acknowledge that the power to heal and find peace lies within us, rather than outside of us, our pain will no longer cry for our attention and no longer drain our energy.

Do not forget that you have the ability, at any given moment, to open your heart and mind to peaceful resolutions, healing, and miracles.

This week’s Miracle Mantra & Meditation

Remembering that there’s a divine light, a divine wisdom, a divine power within you that can be called upon at any time, in any situation. A divine force which is capable of lifting you out of the clouds and into the light. There’s nothing outside of yourself that can save you. It is within you all along, and all you need to do is call upon its guidance, surrender, and trust.
