“Here is the answer to your search for peace. Here is the key to meaning in a world that seems to make no sense.”
A course in Miracles | Lesson 121
Forgiveness – the key to our joy, happiness, and peace. Whether we need to forgive ourselves or others, forgiveness is when we give up the fear for the love. Creating space for all the good that is already ours to actually be received.
We tend to hold on to anger, grief and criticism thinking this justifies the way we feel – and that if we were to not hold on to that, we let the other person ‘get away’ with something. Or we hold these feelings and thoughts towards ourselves thinking we should be punished for what we have done because that would be the only way to move on from it.
None of this, however, is healing – none of this brings peace – and none of this makes anyone truly happy.
Yes, we need to process and move through our emotions and feelings. But it serves no one to be self-indulgent by holding on to them.
The key to happiness and peace is knowing that in forgiveness we are freed from the hurt and fear. It doesn’t mean we allow people or circumstances to take advantage of our forgiveness – it means we start to realize that forgiving someone or something is not weakness – but rather true strength.
Taking back the peace and happiness that is always already yours, that is forgiveness.
This week’s Miracle Mantra & Meditation
A weekly Mantra to support the practice of re-aligning with the truth of who you are.
“I AM WILLING TO SEE THE LIGHT WITHIN YOU”
This mantra is inspired by lesson 121 of the workbook of A course in miracles. When we are willing to see the light within someone and when we are willing to choose to see them differently and truly forgive them (give up the despair in place for the joy) this is when we allow our own hearts and minds to be flooded with peace and happiness.

You can choose to apply this mantra in whatever way you may feel called to. A great way to start is by setting some time away each morning and evening, about 5 minutes, to repeat the mantra, a few times and take some long deep breaths in silence.
Love you,
