We have ALL been guilty of the notorious “I’m so busy, I just don’t HAVE time” excuse – me included.
BUT, today, I’m here to call Bullsh*t.
Time is not something we own. Time is a complete illusion, albeit one we need to learn to navigate as humans.
“I don’t have time” is one of my biggest pet peeves. Here’s why.
There’s no such thing as ‘having’ time. We don’t own it, we can’t hold it, we can’t store it. Which we could argue is the very thing that makes it SO valuable to us.
And while we can’t ‘have’ time, what we absolutely can have is a lack of priorities.
More often than not, when we find ourselves ‘so busy’ that we ‘can’t’ seem find the time to do the things that ‘matter’ to us or to see the people that are ‘important’ to us, chances are we just don’t have our priorities straight.
Keeping ourselves busy, can also often times be a sign of self sabotaging behaviour. We keep ourselves so distracted and busy that we just can’t do ‘that thing’ that we so called really want to do – because truthfully we’re just terrified of taking the plunge.
It’s time to get honest.
We tend to forget that as humans, if we really want something we ALWAYS find a way to do it. Period. No matter what. We work through whatever traumas we need to work through, we put aside whatever we need to put aside and we go for it.
You will never have time, but you do have priorities, it’s time to set them right.
Re-evaluate WITH WHAT you’re actually keeping yourself busy. (i.e scrolling, procrastinating)
Re-evaluate what is REALLY important to you and HOW BADLY you TRULY want something.
Stop kidding others and most importantly stop kidding yourself.
love you, always,
